A pocket full of starlight*

At times, the world spins way too fast. Your friends turn into your worst foes. When the sunniest mornings seem like the most miserable days, when the gears have been shifted beyond your control, breathe. Allow yourself to withdraw from the race. You do not have to keep running at all times. Sooner or later, your legs will give up. At those times, take a look outside. At the black expanse and beyond. Into that timeless realm of existence where beauty springs forth to enthrall. Feel the dark blanket’s Braille and let the awesome beauty drench you whole.

Look, beyond time, space and your troubles at those twinkling diamonds in the sky…as a reminder, of the beauty that still exists.I like to think of it as morsels of joy left over when all smiles have vanished from the face of this earth. As a reminder of one of the most brilliant masterpieces of the Great Artist. And to know, that even in the face of trying times, sparkles of hope, are impossible to escape.

About Ria Gandhi

“I really think I write about everyday life. I don't think I'm quite as odd as others say I am. Life is intrinsically, well, boring and dangerous at the same time. At any given moment the floor may open up. Of course, it almost never does; that's what makes it so boring.” ― Edward Gorey
